Super Bowl & The Fountains of Bellagio Las Vegas

If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas between now (01-13-2024) and Super Bowl Weekend (02-11-2024), you may be disappointed if you wanted to see the beautiful Bellagio Lake Fountains as CBS is building a broadcast platform that will block them. This same iconic tourist attraction was also blocked when Formula 1 came rolling through the streets of the Las Vegas Strip back in November 2023. However, you may still be able to see them from the Bellagio restaurants including their signature Prime Steak House Restaurant. However, the restaurants have limited seating with the actual view, so you may wish to book early. There is also the restaurant in the Paris Hotel known as the Eiffel Tower Restaurant which over looks the fountains and has a great menu as well.

While one of Las Vegas’ most iconic attractions may be temporarily obscured, there still remains plenty of activities and attractions that Las Vegas has to offer. These include:

The Las Vegas Sphere: Officially known as the MSG Sphere at The Venetian, it has quickly become one of the fastest and biggest tourist attractions in Las Vegas and possibly the world. While it is not technically on the Vegas Strip, it is very easy to get too from a few hotels and sits directly behind the Venetian and Palazzo Resorts. The Sphere’s exterior is covered with a fully programmable LED screen and displays a variety of digital images, patterns and advertisements during the day but looks much better in the night time. However, it is also one of the most advanced concert and and movie venues ever built. The current residency band playing there is U2 and only one movie that is made for the ultimate experience. Tickets are constantly selling out so try to book early.

The Venetian Gondola Rides: Experience a taste of Venice with a gondola ride through the Grand Canal at The Venetian. It’s a romantic and unique experience, complete with singing gondoliers. You may buy tickets in Venetian mall which consists of high end shops and quality restaurants.

The Mirage Volcano: While the new owners of the Mirage Resort and Hotel have plans to demolish the Iconic Volcano, which many attribute to the reason why other resorts such as the Bellagio and its world famous fountains were built, Hard Rock Hotels has stated that it will be open to explode for at least four days during Super Bowl Weekend. The best time to see fiery volcano fire up with the sound of eruption is in the night time, just like most everything else in the city of lights.
